Crappie Fishing Galore - Kayak Fishing - South New Jersey Slabs

By far my best crappie fishing day on the kayak! caught over 42 crappies plus other species. Epic trip! Check out the video for more fishing details.

One thing I would like to note was that I added a 20 lb FL leader to my 4lb test line. the reason was not only to prevent cuts from more pickerels, but to slow down the fall rate of my lure. that was the key of keeping the baits in the strike zone longer, especially in shallow water. crappies rarely bite when things touch the bottom. in addition, i would have weeds to deal with.
